Why VOA Texas

Working at Volunteers of America Texas is more than a job. It's a calling. Every day, we restore hope to people whose lives have been derailed – by mental health issues, addiction, or developmental or intellectual disabilities – and give them the tools they need to become productive members of their families and communities. We invite you to learn more about our ministry of service to humanity.

Who We Are

We are a diverse group of committed, skilled and credentialed individuals. Together, the work we do at Volunteers of America Texas impacts thousands of people across the state. Our programs are designed to lift up those who need the most help – from individuals who are recovering from drug or alcohol addiction to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We are committed to serving the most vulnerable people in society and working where the need is greatest. With a compassionate spirit, we help our clients achieve their full potential, believing that by changing one life, we have the power to change the world. Through disciplined stewardship, we guard the mission and resources with which we are entrusted. Finally, through collaborative service within our own organization and with community partners, we aspire to expand the impact we have.
