Volunteers of America, Southwest is a proud affiliate of Volunteers of America, a national nonprofit human services organization that, for more than a century, has led the nation in transforming the lives of America’s most vulnerable. Located in Southern California, Volunteers of America, Southwest provides comprehensive services to individuals and families in San Diego, Imperial, San Bernardino, Riverside and Orange Counties. All our behavioral health treatment and rehabilitation programs are grounded in evidence-based practices and theories. We utilize current best practices to design the overall structure of our programs and services offered. We regularly train staff in new theories and practices in behavioral health treatment, and seek to employ individuals who demonstrate high levels of effectiveness. Our highly-qualified team of professionals includes licensed social workers, licensed marriage and family therapists, MSWs, and certified drug and alcohol counselors. We utilize a coordinated intake process for all our behavioral health programs, which allows for efficient and accurate placement of clients. This, in turn, gives our counselors extra time to spend with clients, and improves our outcomes.
